Host a Fundraising Event

A huge thank you to Madame Mouna Westergard and her Entreprise Sociale grade 11 students from Ecole Secondaire de Par-en-Bas.  The O2 (Options and Opportunities) students, also known as "le Fermiers de Par-en-Bas", grow fruits, vegetables, plants and herbs. Each year they sell their harvest in May (for Mother's Day) and again in the fall. They give back to their community by donating a portion of their proceeds.

Fermiers de Par-en-Bas include: Madame Mouna Westergard; Joshua d'Entremont; Carter Doucette; Nicholas Doucette; Celine Fevens; Dyson Fevens; Dylan Fitzgerald; Devyn Harick; Hailey Jacquard; Aden LeBlanc; Connor Muise; Brennan Smith

Lucy Melanson, with Hector LeBlanc and Emile Dugas, present a cheque to YHF Managing Director Paulette Sweeney-Goodwin, on behalf of the Ladies Auxiliary, Clare Legion Branch 52, to kick off fundraising for the new urology program.

“Everyone was in agreement to support a program that will help veterans and civilians by reducing the need to travel for health care.” says Emile Dugas, Chair, Clare Veterans Association. “It’s the right thing to do.” About 40% of the people on the waitlist for urology procedures in Kentville are from Digby, Yarmouth and Shelburne Counties.

We ask anyone who wants to host a fundraising event  to preregister your event with the Foundation for approval.
