Sou'West Walkathon
The 2025 Sou’West Walkathon was a bit of a change of pace for us – and for our participants, too. The previous year’s event took the form of a stroll through the autumnal forest, but this year was colourful in an entirely different way! Using vibrant coloured powder, volunteers and participants alike made a lot of bright memories, with those who dressed in white looking the most vivid.
Held in early October at Gateway Park in Yarmouth, the lively colour walk raised funds towards the cost of an EMG NSC unit. This vital piece of equipment plays a critical role in diagnosing nerve and muscle disorders, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, ALS, and more. Before, patients had to travel to Halifax for this critical testing — but with your support (and the arrival of a neurologist at Yarmouth Regional Hospital this fall), we brought this life-changing service closer to home for families across the Tri-Counties!
And our generous donors and sponsors didn’t disappoint. More than $15,500 was raised at this energetic event!
A huge thank you to the following community partners!

And a special thanks to Terry's Rentals!
