The MOLLI® system is an innovative technology that allows radiologists to mark cancerous lesions with a MOLLI® marker, a tiny magnetic tissue marker roughly the size of a sesame seed. The localization procedure takes about five minutes and can happen within 30 days prior to the surgery.
In the OR, surgeons use the MOLLI® wand to pick up the magnetic signal from the marker, which sends images and sounds to the MOLLI® tablet. This guides the surgeon to the exact location of the lesion. Using the MOLLI® system, surgeons remove lesions more efficiently and with increased patient comfort.
