Gifts in Memory

Flowers have traditionally been the most common sympathy gift. However, many families today are requesting memorial donations in lieu of flowers.  A memorial donation to Yarmouth Hospital Foundation is a way to honor both the deceased and their family while making a meaningful contribution to better health care in our community.

Kay Balmanno regularly contributes to Yarmouth Hospital Foundation in memory of her late husband, Dr. James (Jim) Balmanno. “Support for our hospital is dear to my heart,” says Kay.
Gladys Bower is a firm believer in giving local. “So many people want you to donate to a variety of causes,” Gladys says, “that at some point I just decided to give in memory of people to Yarmouth Hospital Foundation because everybody’s going to need the hospital at some time in their life.”

We send the family a beautiful card to notify them of your gift. The amount of gifts is kept confidential. You will receive a letter and tax receipt for your memorial donations.

Memorial cards are available at all funeral homes in the area or you can receive a supply for your own personal use. Click here to obtain a supply of memorial cards or call (902) 749-1669.
